Todd is a wonderful lizzard hunter, all Dad's need this skill! So he caught a lizzard and the kids were elated. He had a blue and white belly, so the obvious name for our new friend was Viking. We put him in a cage and the kids caught bugs to feed him it was great fun for them. When we needed to let him go the kids were really sad. Camille said it so well "We gave him a name, we gave him a home, he's part of our FAMILY." Her animal-loving heart was broken, but in the end she understood that it was best for Viking to be set free.

Todd, Camille and Derek were able to float down the Virgin River on tubes, I sat out with the little ones because they are too small:( They floated for about 2 miles and had a blast. There was a rope swing, some rapids and it was about 107 degrees out, so it felt wonderful to be in the cold water.
We were also able to meet up with my girlfriend Rebecca, she lives in TX but was in St. George for a girls get-a-way, we had a good visit and hike up to the gateway to the Narrows. By the way hiking the Narrows is on my list of things to do one of these days!Todd, Camille and Derek were able to float down the Virgin River on tubes, I sat out with the little ones because they are too small:( They floated for about 2 miles and had a blast. Camping with 4 kids is definitely a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun too! I have learned that putting a baby in a back pack and hiking Angels Landing is enough to give me nightmares and anxiety attacks, so for now we will stick to the easy stuff and sleep soundly at night!

Looks like you had a blast! Would love to meet up and camp sometime---too bad we don't even live in driving distance for that really!
I miss the Virgin River!!! I hope you had fun for me.
That sounds like fun. I haven't dared camping with all my kids yet. So way to go!
