I need to pump some iron!

I am now 26 weeks pregnant, this has by far been my hardest pregnancy. I was feeling so tired all of the time. After I got dressed I would have to sit down and rest. Walking up the stairs made my heart pound and I would be out of breath. I would make the kids lunch and end up sitting down on the kitchen floor to eat mine, so I didn't have to walk ALL the way to the table, plus I was closer to the refrigerator if they needed something else (please don't need anything else). Along with this total exhausting came excessive tears and emotions. Finally I decided that maybe it wasn't normal so I asked my Midwife to check my iron. Sure enough my hemoglobin was at a 7, and that means severe anemia. I was relieved to know that I might actually feel human again! I have been taking an herbal iron supplement for almost 2 weeks now and I think it's starting to work!
I read an article that said that the second trimester is by far the easiest and most comfortable, I laughed and really hoped that it was wrong in my case.

Golly Gee Stacey!! I know how you feel though. My first pregnancy I was like that and then realized I was anemic. I have actually probably been anemic (a little) my whole life. I take iron supplements every day now pregnant or not.

Hope everything else is going great. haven't heard from you in awhile.

Hope you are feeling way better soon!

Your title, the pumping iron part, made me think of old body pump class---"Let's Get This Party Started!"

Miss you!
