Saturday Festivities!

Could you think of a better way to start your day than with a heated hamster race?

Fuzzy was in car #3, and if you look close you can see that the car is already bumping up against the divider, so due to an equipment malfunction, he came in 5th. It really didn't matter to Derek because to him Fuzzy will always be "THE BOMB."

After the race we were off to Derek's soccer game. He scored his first two goals of the season! We have really seen some improvement in him, and all of the boys actually. In the beginning Derek would be so excited if he got to kick the ball, he would prance around and totally loose focus (yes, I know that he is only 6), but now it actually looks more like the kids are playing a soccer game and not just swarming around the ball. Good Job Derek!

Quinn Young and Todd are coaching, when they were kids they were in the same home ward. They have the good cop/bad cop thing going on. If you were wondering, Todd is the "bad cop." He has had the boys run laps at practice if they are being too naughty, and Quinn has unlimited patience. It looks like the boys are having fun and learning to play soccer, so it must be working!
